The Adams family opened the doors to Dettmer Tire & Auto Centre in downtown Guelph in 1978 at 23 Cork Street E. We have since grown our family-owned and operated business to encompass three generations, two locations, and a wholesale division.
Dettmer Tire & Auto Centre has come a long way from its humble beginnings to become the top auto repair and service shop in Guelph, ON. Our passion for a positive and trusted customer experience, drove us to develop our current business model and gave us the conviction to turn hard work and inspiration into to a booming tire and auto repair provider. CORK STREET

Dettmer Tire & Auto Service's original location, which is an old converted Ford Dealership, is located in downtown Guelph. When Bill Adams first opened the doors, he strove to provide his customers with exceptional quality and rock bottom prices on brand name tires. Since then the location has grown to encompass two fully licensed automotive technicians and three full time tire technicians.
As our company has expanded, Bill has shifted his primary focus to the maintenance and efficiency of our warehouses. In turn, his youngest daughter, Kelly Adams, has taken on this location. Working alongside our upfront staff; their honesty and knowledge of the industry, along with their desire to service both our much-appreciated long-term and new customers basis; is what sets us apart from our competition.

ERAMOSA

In 1989, we opened our doors to our second location at 325 Eramosa Rd, allowing us to better serve Guelph's growing population. Run by co-owner Mike Adams, the Eramosa location offers the industry standard in tire changing and automotive equipment. With a tire machine that is fully automated our Eramosa Location is able to service the most exotic of vehicles.

TIRE STORAGE

As Guelph's population booms with multitudes of high and low-rise residential buildings, storage of tires has become a highly demanded service. Bill has once again expanded his business to meet these needs. Both locations now offer seasonal tire storage at one of our local warehouses, with tires being picked up and delivered directly to the customer at either of our shop locations.

WHOLESALE

Our centrally located warehouses provides fast and effective delivery to a multitude of shops and garages within and surrounding the Guelph area. Run by Bill’s grandson, Josh Adams, our wholesale division strives to extend your business and customer expectations. With over 20,000 square feet of inventory, let our knowledgeable staff ensure you have the right tires for your specific needs.
